The Shib marks a dual milestone this month, releasing its 100th edition as it enters its third year chronicling the evolution of the Shiba Inu ecosystem and the people building it.
Two years ago, this magazine was an idea. Our mission was simple but ambitious: to document the story of Shiba Inu in real time and serve as the official source of truth for the Shib community.
A hundred editions later, that idea has become a living record. What began as a weekly publication has become an archive and anchor, capturing each phase of a decentralized experiment still in motion and growing into a platform for the ideas and collaborations that shape the ecosystem itself.
The Shib started as a weekly publication for the Shib Army. It’s become a steady companion to the community’s growth, recording every milestone as the project evolved. Each issue reflects a shared effort to understand where the movement is heading and how far it has come.
Over time, the magazine found its rhythm. What began as a chronicle of updates grew into a platform for ideas, reflections, and collaborations that shape the Shiba Inu ecosystem itself. The Shib became both archive and anchor, capturing each phase of a decentralized experiment still in motion.
Our commitment to serving as the community’s anchor meant listening to its rhythm. We realized that while our weekly edition provides depth, the conversation in our ecosystem moves at the speed of the blockchain—fast and constant.
To honor that pulse, we expanded our reach by launching The Shib Insider. This daily newsletter complements the sharp reporting of The Shib Daily, keeping you in the loop with quick, engaging updates and ensuring the story continues to unfold between each weekly dive.
We also focused inward, refining the core experience of being a reader. Participation is essential to Web3, so, with the help of the Shiba Inu development team, we rebuilt our NFT minting process, transforming it from a trial feature into a smooth, accessible way to claim a piece of our history onchain.
This year, we also made The Shib and The Shib Daily more inclusive and accessible than ever. Readers can now enjoy every story in their preferred language, reflecting the truly global reach of the Shib Army. For those on the move, we introduced audio versions of our news—so whether you’re commuting, working, or walking your Shib, you can stay connected to the story as it happens.
And as we strengthened our core, we also began to build new bridges. Over the past year, we’ve partnered with innovative crypto projects eager to connect with the fierce, loyal, and global community that is the Shib Army. These collaborations extend the reach of our ecosystem, deepen its connections, and open a front-row view for our readers to the emerging projects aiming to shape the future of Web3.
