The loss of my grandfather was a profound event that led me down an unexpected path. Seeking solace in the company of animals, my family and I visited the ASPCA, where we found a furry friend named Ron, a tribute to my late grandfather. Ron quickly became an integral part of our family, providing unwavering emotional support.
Inspired by this experience and my 15-year background in graphic design, I embarked on a new venture: Shibarium Pups, or Shups for short. Launched in November 2023, Shups is a multifaceted project that combines my passion for art, technology, and animal welfare.
Our initial offerings included NFTs and a token, but I soon realized the need to diversify our revenue streams to ensure the project’s sustainability. I established a dedicated merch shop (shibariumpups.redbubble.com), where 50% of all sales are donated to the ASPCA, with the remainder reinvested in the project.
To further our mission, I’ve actively sought out cross-chain partnerships to expand Shibarium’s reach. One such partnership is with WolfPunx, a project that supports multiple animal rescues. Our upcoming cross-chain NFT collection with WolfPunx will result in a significant donation to Dog Rescue Army in Houston, TX.
We’re also committed to making charitable giving accessible to everyone. We’re integrating a widget from The Giving Block on our website, enabling direct donations to animal rescues and charities via crypto.
The Shups ecosystem encompasses a wide range of initiatives, including stakeable NFTs, a rewards token, a merch shop, an upcoming lottery DAPP, a Shib burning utility, and more. I’m dedicated to not only growing Shibarium as a chain but also to making a positive impact on the world through animal welfare.
My work with Shups is a labor of love, fueled by the memory of my grandfather and a deep-seated desire to spread kindness. I believe that together, we can create a better world for animals and humans alike.
