Everyone has to start somewhere when they have dreams. Even if it’s random, all that’s needed is a simple trigger.

My own venture into this space started with the word of a friend, and with his help, I installed a CEX on my phone. And that’s how I started with crypto.

In February 2021, I bought one asset which, by May 2021, was well valued. I didn’t care much about crypto back then, but this was the beginning. Sold it for… 4 car tires. The CEX allowed me to cash out easily.

It was May 2021 when I started hearing about Shib. “How do I buy Shib?” I didn’t know. But in May 2021, I found it on the CEX I was using.

Got curious and Googled all I could about Shib. Found the mediums and the Woof Paper. And with all the assets that had come and gone from my hands, it was the only thing I kept holding. Talk about love at first sight!

A dream was built as soon as October 2021 came around. To the mooooon! Everyone who’s learning is a moonboy/girl once in a while. Too bad I had some Shib locked in an earn program by the CEX, so I was unable to sell. First lesson learned!

The following year 2022 was an extensive learning curve. Seeing people losing their crypto because of CEXs collapsing and the bear market roaring around scared me and caused me to make the jump to DeFi. Now I say I wish I had gone the DeFi route earlier!

By that time, I already knew the value of Bone and Leash, and that was when this jump allowed me to add those assets to my MetaMask using ShibaSWap. For a time, I was following the socials, but I was quiet while learning all I could.

Fast forward to 2023. With what I had seen during the last two years, I decided to be more vocal. It was time to start helping people with what I’ve learned. Having a new Discord and Telegram was the perfect opportunity to help out any newbie like I once was back then. Community first! We, not me.

Oh, little did I know that an opportunity that would arise. I made great friends along the way, and now I’m able to help people by providing support on Shibarium Tech Discord. It’s an opportunity that I never expected.

The crypto dream is still being built, but the dream to reach people and help them out is now a reality.

The biggest gratitude to all of you!

In the cryptocurrency world, the past two years have seen some of its most powerful figures hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. From Binance’s high-flying CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao facing money laundеring charges to thе fall from grace of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, and the dramatic unraveling of Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon’s empire, cryptocurrency’s elites are in the midst of a chaotic storm.

Let’s take a look at thе ups and downs of these crypto tycoons, exploring the glamor, controversy, and legal troubles that have reshaped the narrative of this notoriously volatile industry.

‌

1. Changpeng “CZ” Zhao: The Meteoric Rise and Sudden Fall

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, once the undisputed king of thе crypto world, catapulted Binance to unprecedented heights. With a net worth peaking at $65 billion, he was the face of crypto prospеrity. However, with great power came greatеr scrutiny.

Accused by the U.S. of allowing transactions to militant groups and violating multiple regulations, Zhao pleadеd guilty, stepping down from Binance amidst fines totaling $4.4 billion. His empire now stands on shaky ground, leaving us to wonder about the fate of thе man who once ruled the crypto universe.

‌

2. Sam Bankman-Fried: From the Face of Fame to a Notorious Collapse

Sam Bankman-Fried, the charismatic founder of FTX, was not just thе richest but also the most famous figure in crypto. With a net worth of $24 billion, he was the unofficial ambassador for the industry. However, revelations of financial misuse – from real estate splurges to risky moves – brought his empire crashing down in November 2022.

Rival CZ Zhao’s decision to sell FTX tokens held by Binance sparked a stunning collapse. Arrested in the Bahamas and found guilty of major financial fraud, Bankman-Fried now faces the prospect of up to 110 years in prison. From fame to infamy, his story is a cautionary tale of the perils of crypto stardom.

‌

3. Do Kwon: Marketing Genius Turned Fugitive

Do Kwon, the South Korean entrepreneur bеhind Terraform Labs, marketed TerraUSD and Luna as the next big thing in crypto. Described as a “genius,” he attracted billions in investments. However, the collapse of these stablеeoins in May last year, deemed by some as a glorified Ponzi scheme, triggered a chain reaction of losses totaling over $500 billion.

Brash and outspoken, Kwon went on the run after leaving South Korea, eventually getting arrested in Montenegro with fake travel documents. Now facing criminal charges in the U.S. and South Korea, Kwon’s story is a gripping tale of a marketing whiz turned fugitive, leaving a trail of financial destruction in its wake.

‌

4. Bitboy: The Dramatic Downfall of a Prominent Crypto Youtuber

Ben Armstrong, the popular crypto influencer known as Bitboy Crypto and founder of the Bitboy Crypto YouTube channel, witnessed a climactic rise in the cryptocurrency community, leveraging his engaging content to amass a substantial following. However, his ascent was accompanied by controversies, as he faced accusations of promoting tokens for personal gain.

The tide turned against him amid regulatory scrutiny, market downturns, and shifting sentiments, leading to a decline in both influence and viewership. Bitboy Crypto’s journey serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the challenges and risks associated with navigating the volatile crypto landscape and the importance of ethical conduct in the face of evolving industry dynamics.

‌

5. Winklevoss Twins: A Series of Lawsuits and Losses

The Winklevoss Twins, Cameron and Tyler, are known for their work on Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange they founded. But they are probably more popular for suing Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 after claiming he stole their social network idea to create Facebook, now known as Meta. This led to a $65 million settlement, after which the twins became billionaires due to their crypto investments. But that didn’t come without challenges. In 2023, Gemini faced a loss of $900 million, and the twins had to pivot their strategies.

Crypto lender Genesis Global initiated legal action against Gemini Trust, aiming to reclaim over $689 million. This substantial sum represents funds withdrawn by customers during a tumultuous “run on the bank,” ultimately leading to Genesis’ bankruptcy.

The twins were also recently under fire after it was revealed that they allegedly withdrew $282 million secretly in 2022 from the customer funds of the exchange’s Earn program “to create a liquidity reserve,” leading to backlash from customers.

What can we say? These narratives serve as cautionary tales, reminding us that even the most powerful figures are not immune to the chaotic forces that govern this ever-evolving industry. So, always take people’s words with a grain of salt. Stay vigilant at all times, Shib Army!

Alexandre Masmejean, CEO of Showtime Technologies, Inc., recently found himself at the center of a cybersecurity storm. He was targeted by Asian cybercriminals who managed to run malware on his computer, leading to a surprising call from the FBI.

The saga unfolded when Masmejean received an unexpected call from purported FBI agents based in Los Angeles. The agents informed him that his computer had been compromised by malware, urging him to take immediate action: disconnect from WiFi, rotate wallets, change passwords, transfer files to a hard drive, and wipe his compromised MacBook entirely.

Confusion and skepticism clouded Masmejean’s mind as he grappled with the authenticity of the call. Were these indeed federal agents safeguarding his digital integrity, or were they clever scammers manipulating him into unwittingly divulging sensitive information?

The plot thickened as Masmejean recounted an earlier encounter with a Telegram user, “Chao Deng” (@/chaodeng), who claimed to represent the reputable investment fund HashKey and expressed interest in investing in Showtime. What seemed like a routine business inquiry took a sinister turn when the imposter suggested communicating through a VPN-friendly “alternative” video link. Masmejean, eager to not be tardy, unwittingly ran a script, falling victim to a classic cyber attack.

The FBI, acknowledging the modus operandi, suggested Masmejean contact them again with the Telegram handle of the attacker. However, skepticism from his crypto peers led Masmejean to seek advice from security expert Samczsun, who endorsed tightening security practices but urged him to independently verify the FBI’s legitimacy.

A cautious Masmejean dialed the FBI’s number directly, confirming the identity of the agents who had contacted him. The lady on the line, initially suspicious, matched the details and assured Masmejean that the cybersecurity investigation was genuine.

Following a laptop hard reset, password, and key rotations, Masmejean managed to secure his assets, largely stored in hardware wallets. Fortunately, no financial losses were incurred, but a stark warning from a crypto expert urged him to assume that all his data had been compromised.

The FBI agents informed Masmejean that hackers might exploit his compromised data to contact family, colleagues, and friends. Faced with this sobering reality, Masmejean shared his harrowing experience on X, serving as a warning for other public figures in the cryptocurrency world.

The incident underscores the need for vigilance and robust cybersecurity practices in an era where online threats loom large, even for those at the forefront of the crypto industry.

On August 18, 2023, the internet collectively shed a tear for a dear friend it had never met in person but had grown to love dearly – the Shiba Inu extraordinaire, Cheems.

Also known as Balltze in his everyday life, this beloved pup, unfortunately, passed away at age 12 after his battle with cancer and a final thoracentesis surgery.

Though he’s no longer with us, his legacy as the unofficial poster boy of Shib lives on, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you.

The Rise of Cheems

Cheems’ incredible journey to stardom began in 2017 when his owner, Kathy, from the vibrant city of Hong Kong, shared pictures of him casually lounging on some elegant marble steps.

RIP Cheems: A Forever Shiba Hero

What started as a simple photo quickly became the stuff of internet legend when someone humorously compared his appearance to “cheese,” giving birth to the iconic moniker “Cheems.” From that moment on, Cheems, with his endearing round face, became a meme sensation.

But he wasn’t just any meme. As the world faced the unprecedented challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, his memes brought joy and humor to millions around the globe, offering a much-needed escape from the grim realities of the world.

Cheems and Shib

Cheems played a pivotal role in shaping the identity of Shib. Without this Shiba Inu’s smiling face, Shib might not have the global recognition it enjoys today. His friendly and familiar face instantly connected people with us, making it a recognizable and inviting platform for cryptocurrency enthusiasts worldwide.

A Heartfelt Goodbye

As we bid farewell to our dear Cheems, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the joy, laughter, and comfort he brought into our lives.

So, thank you, Cheems, for being our friend, our source of happiness, and our identifier for Shiba Inu around the globe. Your impact on the internet world and the Shib community will forever be cherished, and you’ll always have a special place in our hearts.

RIP Cheems: A Forever Shiba Hero
The unofficial poster boy of Shib lives on, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you.

In loving memory of Cheems, forever in our memes and hearts.
